SYNC CAMPAIGNS FOR PROCTLE AND GAMBLE

PG_Procter_and_Gamble_logo_blue_background.png

I've worked as a music supervisor for various P&G brands (FLASH, FAIRY, ALWAYS), commissioned by London based advertising agencies Grey and Leo Burnett.

My very first TV campaign for EMEA was for the brand ALWAYS, back in 2007. It involved finding a young female artist that we could build a content strategy around, and three different songs to fit various scripts.

I chose Icelandic singer Hafdis Huld who had achieved great reviews for her album "Dirty Paper Cup".  Her album featured co-writers such as Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys), Pascal Gabriel, Boo Hewerdine (Natalie Imbruglia, Eddi Reader) and Chris Corner (Sneaker Pimps).

For this particular advertisement I picked a song by Scottish musician Boo Hewerdine called "Weatherman", which she recorded in the studio for us.

Here's the first of the TV commercials we did with Hafdis.

There were other versions of this commercial for different markets. For example, here's the one for Africa.

You can also listen to the original version of "Weatherman" written and performed by Boo Hewerdine

Hafdis performed several private concerts for Leo Burnett and P&G, and she was a real pleasure to work with.

Her music recordings have also been used in other TV adverts, including Mercedes Benz and Reyka Vodka.

Hafdis also recorded the theme track for the 2011 BBC Christmas special ‘The Borrowers’, staring Stephen Fry.

Since these campaigns were back in 2007, finding copies of the other TV commercials I did for Always, Flash and Fairy is proving quite a challenge  But as soon as I manage to acquire video or audio I will add it here.
